New Mexico/ Colorado

I would feel guilty going to all kind of inferior places, crappy towns, Disney stuff without a visit to the Mesa Ruins in Colorado (close to New Mexico.

As these ruins, left over from the Pueblo "Indians" of 700+ years ago, are a bit in the middle of nowhere, this needs some planning.

Flying into Alburquerque or Santa Fe, NM, would mean sa 3-4 hour drive, but also could be not the worst combination. Visiting Alberquerque for a day and have a scenic ride, visiting a few "ghost towns" on the way could make it a great long weekend.

World's Best Airline

As I am looking for all kind of flights in all directions so having some more information about airlines would be useful. Airlines like Singapore Airlines have been outstanding for decades. Lately the Middle Eastern airlines for Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Qatar seem to get top 5 ranking, based on several web sites.

Both www.airlineratings.com (Australia) and www.airlinequality.com (Skytraxx) give Etihad Airways an top 10 rating, being a top airline in the world.

However the customer ratings are a 4 to 5 out of 10!! Etihad not that great?

Premium Economy?

I was looking further into premium economy/ economy comfort. The point is that many web site show Economy, Premium Economy, Business and First Clas as the options. However Economy plus is a huge range of quality. The quick conclusion is:

Hmmm, LAX - Sydney - Denpasar for less than $800 Economy Comfort Plus with Delta. Tghe reality is that you can expect 35" Seat pitch, some arilens have 32"-34" in regular economy so not a huge upgrade. Headset and free drinks which everybody else also gets.. so conclusion: just few more inches legroom that is it.

China Airlines, for $1100 one way LAX Denpasar via Taipei with Premium economy is a different story. This mean "premium" - brand new extra reclining chair- 39" pitch and much more:
